ZSIC Life PLC has been recognized in the 2023 Financial literacy awards for its exceptional financial literacy campaigns in 2022 and 2023 respectively.

The awards which were held on Wednesday 1^st November 2023 at the Urban Hotel in Lusaka recognised various outstanding financial literacy initiatives.

ZSIC Life Public Relations Manager Nabwalya Vlahakis was on hand to receive the awards Presented by the Governor of the Bank of Zambia Dr Denny Kalyalya.

The Governor was flanked by captains of industry that included The Pensions and Insurance Authority Registrar and CEO and the Bankers Association of Zambia Chairperson Mrs Mizinga Melu.

ZSIC Life PLC has over the years committed to ensuring that Nationwide financial literacy is in tandem with its mandate of taking insurance products to all, in line with the National financial inclusion agenda.

The Ministry of Education Permanent Secretary Mr Joel Kamoko has called for increased Financial literacy education to fill the knowledge gap that currently exists among the populous.
The Permanent Secretary said this when the ZSIC Life Acting Managing Director Kennedy Siamuwele paid a courtesy call on him this morning and donated 100 fruit trees towards school production units, as the company commemorates Insurance week under the theme; Insure today, for a sustainable future.
Mr Kamoko added that it was important to consider savings that had the potential to grow as offered by life insurance.
“There is great need for financial literacy especially in the area of long term savings such as life Insurance. The knowledge of insurance needs to be spread far and wide including its benefits such as the additional interest upon maturity of a policy “Mr Kamoko said.
He urged the company to continue with its consumer education agenda coupled with the environmental sustainability efforts that the company has embarked on.
And ZSIC Life Acting Managing Director Mr Kennedy Siamuwele thanked the Ministry of education for its continued collaboration with the company.
Mr Siamuwele said the successful existence of the ZSIC brand over the years is attributed to the support the company has enjoyed with various government agencies and the Education sector being key among them.
